In 2004, and just after getting his engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and his masters’ degree in development studies from Science Po Paris, Hassan started his humanitarian commitment.
With Solidarités International, and then Première Urgence Internationale, he contributed to the response to a multitude of major crises (Tsunami in Asia, Darfur, Afghanistan, Earthquake in Haiti, Syrian crisis, Ebola in West Africa ...). Working alternately at headquarters and in the field, Hassan held various positions, from Programme Coordinator, Country Director or Regional Desk Coordinator to Head of Emergency and Director of Operations.
He was driven by the same humanitarian ethos when he chose in 2018 to join Bioforce to lead the organisation’s operations carried out through our missions in Africa and the Middle East, and in our regional training centres in France and Senegal: "One of the major issues facing the humanitarian response today is linked to the quality of Human Resources and the organisations’ capacity to implement. Capacity building, our core mission at Bioforce, is a privileged way to tackle this issue. Bioforce is a humanitarian actor that builds the capacity of individuals and organisations involved in humanitarian action: an almost unique object within the international aid community. I found in Bioforce the passion, the drive and the conviction of those helping the populations affected by crises."
