Context is a global project to develop the skills of humanitarian professionals, run by Oxfam, within the Start Network.
Developed by 15 humanitarian organisations under the aegis of the Consortium of British Humanitarian Agencies (CBHA) and based on the Core Humanitarian Competency Framework, Context provides a solid basis for staff development for improved humanitarian response. Bioforce was selected to implement the Context project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Goma). In 2015, two Skills Development Programmes were run, covering the core skills involved in humanitarian work as well as management and leadership skills development. Each of these programmes combines e-learning, self-directed learning, coaching and group work.
